Mission 8 walkthrough.

June 26, 2008

This is a video of how to do mission 8 (I didnt make it)…

and heres a written walkthrough if that wasnt enough for you…

Introduction

1) Talk to G in the HQ. I suggest choosing the top option each time.
2) G will tell you to investigate recent tremors around the island, Go to the Dock.
3) Herbert and Klutzy will appear in a drill type machine, after the conversation, Herbert will drop the Map to the tunnels, Klutzy will try to grab it, but will slice it in half.

Following the Map

-Part 1
1) Follow the 2 pieces of the map into the Town.
2) One piece will fly on the Night Club sign and the other piece will continue floating.
3) Go into the Coffee Shop and offer the manager to help pick up some cookies.
4) Once you’ve picked up the cookies, ask the manager if you can have one.
5) Go back outside, and use the Cookie on the Green Puffle. The Green Puffle will try to get the piece of paper on the nightclub but is unable too.
6) Go back to the Gadget Room (in the HQ) and behind G on the hat rack, pick up the hat next to the black one.
7) Go back to Town and into the Coffee Shop and ask for another cookie.
8. Go back outside to the Town, put the hat on the puffle, then feed it the cookie, the map piece will fall to the ground, pick it up.

-Part 2
1) Go to the Snow Forts and follow the other half of the map.
2) The piece will almost get stuck to the flag in the Snow Forts, but will fly to the Plaza.
3) Go into the Plaza, the map will float into the newspaper, ask the penguin for the newspaper, he will decline and say he’s hungry for pizza.
4) Go into the Pizza Parlor and ask the cashier for some pizza.
5) Go back outside to the Plaza and give the pizza to the penguin, and in return ask for the newspaper, take the extra half of the map off of the newspaper and put it in your inventory.

Rescuing the Gift Shop

Now that you have your tunnel map, you need to gather the following materials: Hammer, Net, Cream Soda Barrel, Balloons, Nails, Lantern, and an Air Tank.

-Hammer
1) Go to the Gadget Room, and left of the shelf with a bunch of Gadgets, hung onto the wall, should be a hammer, take it.

-Helium Tank
2) Click on the Helium Tank. (left of the exit to the Gadget Room) It says you need G’s permission.
3) Ask G if you can use the Helium Tank.

-Net
4) Go to the Beach and grab the net from the pile next to the Lighthouse

-Cream Soda Barrel
5) Go into the Lighthouse and go over to the penguin pushing the barrels, ask him for one, and put it in your inventory (If you can’t get one, try clicking a barrel). DO NOT SHAKE IT YET!

-Balloons
6) While in the Lighthouse, ask the penguin on the stage for the box of balloons.

-Nails
7) Go into the Sports Shop, and grab the box of nails sitting on the floor near the door.

-Lantern
8. Go to the Dock.
9) Pick up the Lantern next to the hole in the ground.

Rescuing the Gift Shop (Cont.)

1) Go back to the Dock and enter the hole in the ground. Now put the two pieces of the map together.
2) Using the map, follow what it says, Right is the Right Tunnel and Left is the Left Tunnel. This is different for everyone. Once it gets dark, turn on your Lantern.
3) You should end up at the front of what appears to be the Gift Shop. Now you have to act fast on this. Seriously, be quick.
4) First, fill one of the balloons up with the helium tank, and store it in your inventory.
5) Then, take out your Cream Soda Barrel, and shake it some, and put it under the Gift Shop. If it says it’s not enough, shake it a little more until it works. Just don’t shake it too much (it’ll explode).
6) Once it blasts up the Gift Shop, use your Map and quickly head to the Town!
7) Take out your balloon and use it on the Gift shop, it should rise.
8. Take out your net, and place it between the ground and the bottom of the Gift shop. Try clicking multiple times really fast if it doesn’t work. Just be fast.
9) Grab your box of nails and use them on the net, they should go to all four corners of the net.
10) Use your hammer on the net and it should hammer in the nails. The Gift Shop will fall back into place.

Catching Herbert & Klutzy

1) Head back to the Gadget Room and talk to G.
2) He will tell you that you need to find Herbert and Klutzy.
3) Go to the Dock and into the hole.
4) Use the same directions as you used last time (on your tunnel map), go back to where the gift shop was.
5) There should be a new tunnel entrance. Go into it.

Optional Steps (For a Gift at End)
1) To get the gift, take out your Spy Phone, press Tools, and take out your Wrench.
2) Use the wrench on the open section of the drill machine to pull out the screws. You should then see a Gear, take it.

6) You should see a hole and what appears to be the inside of the Boiler Room, go inside.
7) Herbert will be trying to mess up the Boiler. Click on him to talk to him.
8. Herbert will get mad and hit the pipes joined to the Boiler.
9) You will get a call from G telling you to fix the Boiler as soon as possible.
10) Click on the Boiler to begin fixing.
11) DON’T PANIC! It’s easier than it looks. Click one part and then click another part to swap them. You do not have to use all of the pipes! Just enough to connect the pipe at the top left hand corner with the pipe at the bottom right hand corner.
12) Once you have connected the pipes, you’ll get a call from G, he wants to meet you in the HQ.
13) Go back to the HQ and turn right until you see him. Talk to the G. Then give him the Gear. You will then finish the mission.
14) Congrats! You’ve finished the mission! Get the medal and gift.

Mission 8 released!

June 24, 2008

Yes! Thats right folks! The 8th mission has been released and its a good one. Im kinda stuck on it, because of a glitch (Its one where the second part of your inventory doesnt pop up and your stuck with an annoying item in your hand) that has happened to me twice. Ill send more on it when we’ve got more info on it. Anyway check it out! Heres a pic for now.

Its a machine to track down earthquakes and tremors. Ill see ya later.

A video I made

June 17, 2008

Its probably rubbish but this is my 1st video that Ive ever made. Plus the fact that I used Windows Movie Maker and used stills probably makes it awful. But try to appreciate 5 days of hard work. Here it is. Its Going Under by Evanescence and Yes I made it myself (it was pretty obvious).

So there you have it. I hope you enjoyed it. It can be found here

www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAR432WTyEI

on YouTube. The reason that I posted it through YouTube was because I couldn’t find a suitable file to send it directly here. You understand? No? Me neither. Its a load of stupidity.

New Newspaper

June 12, 2008

Well I thought Id highlight one thing. Thats the events list (which has now changed and has pictures now) as shown here…

.

As you can see its now on 2 pages. That is mainly because of the pictures, but that is a good sign because that means CP is growing! Thats the only thing I really wanted to announce but there are a few other things. For example, they are working on Mission 8 and ive got a pic of it right here…

It might be something to do with the new play or something. the other thing I wanted to say was that the PSA have made another public announcement in the Penguin times shown here…

So there it is. You may be thinking its strange to announce this publicly, but theyve done this before!

So does it rock or does it rock?

Anyway other news now. Mazeka haz been revealed and I have got his instructions. If I have done this right, they should be right here #mce_temp_url#. Mazeka is a very complex build as you may see, but I think it will be worth saving up your pennies for this one lol!

Kopaka Review

June 9, 2008

ce again it is time for us to bring you another set review. Today BZPower Blog Assistant Kohaku reviews the original (real-life-wise, anyway) Toa of Ice, Kopaka. To see how the redesigned Kopaka Nuva stacks up to his predecessors and other sets, look no further than the ‘More’ link.

There is a chill in the air… it is Kopaka Nuva. Kopaka Nuva is a popular Toa; this is the third time he is a set, however, there are important questions to be asked. Will he live up to expectations as a set? Will he freeze all that face him? Will I stop asking pointless questions so you can read the review? The answer to these questions and more… are in the next few paragraphs.

Presentation
From the design of the box to the instruction manual, these are the first things you see before building the set.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 02

When you actually look at the canister you will notice it is different than the canisters from last year. The largest difference is unlike the Mahri these ones have plastic, not cardboard. A good move, as we can store our sets in the plastic containers.

The front has a covering which is very interesting compared to the Mahri; other than that we have the usual picture of the set in a pose.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 03

The back shows Solek and Kopaka, then Solek on Kopaka’s back. It also has gibberish that most people won’t care about, such as where the pieces were made. The important, don’t aim at eyes or face warning is still present.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 04 TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 05

The container is two parts; the white covering is the first part. The texture on it is amazing, when one feels the side of it and looks at the side you will notice a ton of detail, detail which my camera couldn’t really pick up on. The inside is smooth, and overall I’d call it a work of art.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 06

The second part is the canister itself. The main thing is the top comes off allowing you to dump the pieces onto your building area. However, the top can still go back on, so there is no need to throw it out.

Building
Half the fun is had building the set. How fun is it to build and how easy or challenging is it?

Now I was hoping Kopaka would have something interesting in his design; however, it is the same Inika based design we’ve had for Toa.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 07

The overall design is simple. You’ll notice his weapon. A huge blaster capable of destroying the Makuta… at least that’s what we hope.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 08

Then we notice his jet wings… makes me want some jet wings… but alas, I am not an airplane. Overall, his build really shouldn’t take more than five or six minutes.

Set Design
Now that the set is complete, we can critique how it looks from every angle. New or interesting pieces can also be examined here.

His pieces are interesting, many new, and many old. Then there are those with new molds. Either way Kopaka has plenty to offer.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 11

Some of the more unique parts are his wings, mask, and bayonet. I love the wings, there is a ton of MOCing potential I can see from them. The mask… well is it just me or is Kopaka growing a beard?

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 12

Next up is the Midak Skyblaster. With Zamor Spheres as the ammo. These are now my favorite blasters.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 13

Kopaka as a set is interesting this time around. Gone are the sword and shield of Kopaka from ages long past. In is a huge blaster with a bayonet. One thing I don’t like is Kopaka looks odd only having the blaster in one of his hands. The other is when he is posed with both hands, the white armor on his shoulders tends to get knocked off, I consider this a huge flaw.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 14 TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 15

Kopaka has 15 points of articulation, including his wings. Like I said posing him can be troublesome with the shoulder armor. Of course his head tilts up fully. On the subject, he has a rod sticking out of his eye. My feelings about this are mixed, I think they should have left the eyepiece out, and kept it on the left side of the mask. However, it is still an awesome mask and other than those minor things, I like it.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 16

The only other problem I have is there is too much grey, Kopaka needs some more white pieces.

Playability
The other half of the fun is in playing with the set. How well does the set function and is it enjoyable to play with?

Now the Midak are fun, they are spring loaded so they can shoot far. The Makuta won’t stand a chance… we hope.

TN 8685 Kopaka Nuva 17

Kopaka is built for action and sniping his opponents. What’s more is he can team up with Solek and battle!

When asked about this combination Kopaka replied, “…”.

Of course with his duel laser sights he can snipe from around the world. Looks like our friend is going to be frozen by Kopaka.

Final Thoughts
Once it’s all said and done, how does the set stack up? Should I get it?

Pros
What’s to like?

  • New pieces!
  • Stronger joints!
  • Weapons and equipment!
  • Matoran can attach!
  • Midak Skyblaster!
  • He is Kopaka!

Cons
What’s not to like?

  • Arm articulation problems
  • No new limbs or body pieces
  • Too much gray
  • Needs something besides the Skyblaster

All in all aside from the small problems, Kopaka is a great set. With many useful pieces and a cold attitude he is worthy of any collection. (Warning: Toa may melt if in sun for too long.)

Time to head on out!

Thanks to BZP for that!
